Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate, (occurs in nature as Brushite ) is a white, monoclinic crystalline powder, soluble in dilute Hydrochloric, Nitric and acetic acids, slightly soluble in water , insoluble in ethanol, when heated to 75 , it may lose crystal water, convert to anhydrous.

Applications:
In daily chemical industry: it is used as frictional agent for making top quality tooth paste, especially foaming type tooth paste.
In food industry: it is used as leavening agent, dough modifior,  buffer, nutritional supplement,  emulsifier, stabilizer. Such as leavening for flour, cake, pastry, bake, double acid type flour color modifior, modifior for fried food, also used as nutrient additive or modifior for biscuit, milk powder, cold drink, ice cream powder.

Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate is mainly used in pharmaceutical industry to make calcium tablets, tablet medicine additive etc, for curing acalucosis of women during pregnancy and lactation and for the prevention and control of rickets and dental caries

Storage terms
Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate should be stored in a dry, ventilative and clear warehouse; kept away from moisture and hot,
furthermore, it should be stored separately from poisonous substances.
