Price of Sulfuric acid is increasing rapidly!

Buyers are reporting a huge jump in sulfuric acid prices and say tightening supply and increased demand from domestic and overseas markets is to blame.
Chinese Sulfuric acid prices in March hit a record high of $240/ton,. Due to high price of Sulfur the price could reach during May 2008 up to $280/ton.
The increase is due to a combination of factors: rising sulfur prices, increasing demand for sulfuric acid from the fertilizer markets, short supply of sulfuric acid and weak USD.
“Suppliers are telling us that the increase of ethanol plants will further increase the demand for sulfuric acid,”
Biofuels production is booming, particularly the proliferation of ethanol plants, is having a "double effect" on the demand for sulfuric acid.
